Delivery Made Simpler

Download the Uber Eats app and browse participating Grand Strand restaurants

The ride sharing service Uber became a phenomenon across the nation, giving an option other than calling a traditional taxi to those (including us along the Grand Strand) who don’t have a public transit system that’s super easy to utilize. Well, what’s the next step for Uber? Bringing food from your favorite restaurants straight to your door.

There are so many fantastic dining options in our area. But there are also factors that occasionally make living here no day at the beach—traffic and crowds.

Enter Uber Eats. Simply download the app and browse participating restaurants. Scroll through for inspiration if you don’t have a meal in mind or search for a particular restaurant or type of food. When you find what you want, simply tap it and add it to your cart.

Uber Eats has lots of restaurants to choose from. When you open the app, you can scroll through the feed for inspiration or search for a particular eatery or type of cuisine. When you find something you like, tap to add it to your cart.

Once you’ve made your selection and are ready to check out, you’ll see your address, an estimated delivery time (even if it’s long you’ll be lounging at home!) and the price of the order (which includes tax and a booking fee.) Place your order and that’s it! When you put your card on file it will be saved and you’ll never have to worry abut having cash.

You can then track your order, just the way you can when you call an Uber for yourself. You’ll see the restaurant accept and prepare the order, and once it is almost ready a nearby Uber partner will pick it up. They will drive the food to you, and you’ll be able to see their name and photo, as well as track their progress on a map.

Even though this service is new to the beach, many eateries have already hopped on board (and it’s likely more will as the service gains popularity). Participating restaurants include the likes of Crave, Sugami, Blueberry’s Grill, Sam Snead’s and Sol y Luna. Other Grand Strand options include tried and true chains like Hooters, McDonald’s and Little Caesars. Right now the service area covers Little River to Murrells Inlet, but check back as this is constantly expanding.

So if you want to dine deliciously while still having a relaxing night in, look for Uber Eats in the app store or order directly from your computer by going to ubereats.com.
