The Oaks Plantation History and Nature Trail

The Oaks was one of the four rice plantations that now make up Brookgreen Gardens. This special exhibit allows visitors to walk a nature trail that includes interpretive panels in order to learn the history of The Oaks plantation. The trail includes archeological sites such as plantation owner and slave areas and provides a glimpse into the land’s past.
