Silent Cities

Visit the cemeteries—or silent cities—of former slaves and plantation owners in this excursion down the back roads surrounding Brookgreen Gardens. In addition, learn about local burial customs influenced by European and African traditions. This two-hour tour features a ride in the gardens’ custom overland vehicle: the Trekker.
